Amazing Church To Find God
Having heard lots of vibes about Clm Church my curiosity got the better of me and I attended for the very first time last Sunday. The building itself is impressive and doubles as a Conference Centre during the week. Once inside there are no obvious signs you are in a Church. The usual signs like a Crucifix are no where to be seen in the main auditorium. Things kicked off with a lively Rock/Pop Band with the Lead Singer jumping around the stage. If you are a young person and enjoy loud drummers then this is a Church for You.. I guess the remit is to whip the Worshippers into a Frenzy energizing them before the main sermon. Looking around the auditorium I was hard pressed to see many older people. A Church that taps into a younger audience so it might not suit everyone. The Sermon was delivered with the aid of PowerPoint slides and was more akin to a Sales pitch than " The Word" . During the intervalbThev Pastor gave a very speedy review of Church Finances. I am not sure that many Worshippers present grasped all the numbers. So I did my own research through public records and the bottom line is the Church pay out nearly 400,000 annually in wages almost 40% of Offerings. The Pastors earn 43,000 and 23,000 annually which may come as a shock to some Worshippers.I will return in a few months time after my trip to Japan.
