Great gym really well equipped. Only downside is it gets extremely busy at peak times
Best gym in cov for price and equipment available. Only snag is that it's so popular it can be hard to get the right machine/weights you want at peak times.
Detailed review about this Gym below;Staff: The staff are friendly from my experience, and plenty of them. Each have their own traits and whatnot. People leave weights around a lot here so it would be beneficial for them to do a once over now and then so items can be back to their original place as people cannot perform this small task for some reason.Members: its pretty well mixed. There are more students than anything but that is due to the two universities that surround the area. Equipment: I've been to JD Gyms Liverpool and their equipment is significantly better than the equipment in Coventry JD Gym. This gym compared to JD gym Liverpool feels significantly cheaper in terms of equipment. I thought the standards would be equal in all gyms across but it appears to not be this way.Equipment maintenance: absolutely dreadful. Things brake and it's fixed like 2-3 weeks later..it's cheap equipment and they find any cowboy to fix it and it last 2 weeks and broke again. Hygiene: This gym is not a very well looked after gym when it comes to hygiene. The toilets are not maintained well enough, the shower areas are always dirty and the sauna has at times got rubbish within. I know this is not the fault of cleaners but more the members but it should be maintained regardless. JD gym Liverpool never faced this issue. Nor does other close by gyms. I've attached an image for you guys to look at.Opening hours: should be 24hr but it ain't...why?Location: Very easy to get to gym within central Coventry.Price: affordable but not worth 20 per month.
Rating based on my needs and value, it has the MOST equipment and variety I have ever seen, great location being in the city centre and for the price I secured of 20pm, you also get free parking for two hours.If course the gym will be busy at rush hour, however even during peak times I find I can have a decent workout even I have to Make some adjustments. Could have later closing on weekend otherwise great.
Good value for money gym. Low price. Plenty of equipment. Big free weights area. Functional area. Loads of cardio equipment. Free 2 hours parking. Sauna. On the down side it can get very busy in the evening of work days. Also some of the cardio equipment is old.
