Such a great place to go, I love taking my boys there to inspire them into learning about aviation. There is a good selection of civilian and military aircraft parts, current and old. A good area on manufacturing and the history of modern flight. If you like airfix models there is a sea of them there.
Pretty cool planes with lots of history. Has option to sit inside some of them. Sitting inside the Vulcan bomber with an informative guide was a great experience.
Really cool visit, cheap entrance fee however I would be willing to pay more so that they could afford some central heating in the inside part of the museum. it was painfully cold in there. Volunteers were great especially the man who let us sit Inside the vulcan, he was very knowledgeable and friendly.Over all reasonable few hours spent here. Good little excursion.
Visited the museum specifically to see their Vulcan bomber. Not the biggest air museum but the knowledge and enthusiasm of both the reception staff and all the volunteer guides made the whole visit well worth the travel (350 mile round trip). To get a guided tour inside the Vulcan was an absolute delight and would definitely advise any one interested in the Vulcan aircraft to go.
Visited here with my wife and four children. They loved it. Especially when they got into the cockpit and saw inside of some the plane's.It is well worth a visit. Very reasonable entry price. 20 for 2 adults and 4 children.I would definitely recommend visiting.
