Enjoyed a really good evening there with friends. Great atmosphere and plenty of choices for what to drink. Staff friendly and welcoming
The beer was good, the cheese and onion roll was huge and the manager put BT on one of the tellys so I could watch Harrogate v Hartlepool despite the fact that everyone else was watching Wolves v Leicester on Sky. It is a really good pub which does real value for money Sunday lunches. My only disappointment was the result of the game. Pools lost.
If I could leave no stars I would. I was appalled at the this yesterday, we were a family of 20 for a family members birthday and the staff was nothing but rude from the minute we got there. Me and my partner were sat on a table for two (still a part of the 20 people booking) I have allergies so choose not to eat out not only that but to make it easier for the place of visit to be told if your not eating you will have to stand up! We was having a drink, I found it so rude. 2 people had hairs in there food and the portions was terrible! Would never ever visit again, stay well away! They also have dogs in there but no signs so people with pet allergies or fears watch out.
Sunday lunch is all fresh vegetables, piping hot, served on hot plates., always make sure you book a table it is that good,
Really good value and tasty food. My treat after shopping to have lunch. The food was really tasty and hot ,one of my bugbears is food not served hot. lots of sauce with Hunters chicken. Service was good & friendly! Well done Chestnut Tree!
