Offers undeniable quality (as expected).The food is as good as it purports to be on their television adverts.I took advantage of the sales & was chuffed to bits with my purchases.My only worry (which is probably restricted to the Coventry branch within the Ricoh Retail Park) - was regarding an unsuitable Christmas gift.The staff were rather uppity upon the realization that we had no receipt - despite the purchase being by debit card.My mother & I were made to feel uncomfortable & awkward as the insinuation was that we were being dishonest in some way. Miraculously,this problem was consequently resolved as soon as it became apparent that we were exchanging the garment for another one that was twice the price of the original purchase.I am totally aware that crime is rife, but I think the staff should be mindful of not putting genuine customers off.I completely understand that it's a delicate situation for all large stores, but my mother is nearly 80 years old & I didn't think we were viewed so distainfully.
Used to be really good, and being a Coeliac it was almost brilliant. But over the past month or more you can see a noticeable change for me. Still good in some area's food wise.
Just went for a browse round and to the cafe. Just what u would expect from M&S. Good quality clothes, although not probably for the very young fashionista. Well known for underwear. Food dept. good. Cafe was well used, constant flow of customers. Some hot food available, plus sandwiches, cakes etc.
