Nice rooms, nice service, nice breakfast. Downfall is in the dinner service- there's not enough option and we had to go out for food as it wasn't very nice.
This hotel is in serious need of refurbishment. It is very old and dirty. Carpets have a lot of disgusting stains and there are weird odors throughout the hotel (including in my room). The rooms aren't soundproofed, so expect to hear a lot of noise from the street and other rooms.Staff was also neither helpful or nice. Even though the rates are relatively low, there are much better hotels in the area within the same price range!
All good, it is what it is and does what it does. Simple, sweet and cheap. Kick out time is 11am and for once I've come out to a gloriously sunny morning in Coventry. One for the diary for I think..
Took my daughter here for afternoon tea to celebrate passing exams. It was amazing. There was so much food that we had a doggy bag made up and eat it for the rest of the week.. The waitress was very attentive, especially with me tea. She wanted to get it just how I wanted it. Excellent value.
It's fair to say this hotel is feeling its age but it is priced accordingly. Friendly and helpful check-in it is in a good central location but you need to park in a public car park about 5-6 minutes walk away. Room was clean though 'worn', not overly sound proofed though we weren't really disturbed even with the ping of the lift we were next to. The room was warm and decent shower, good cheap bed for the night. Don't expect anything more and you will have a good stay.
